According to the Rhoton to Abshier information of March 2003, the Lendwoods Methodist Cemetery and the church are located in the eastern end of Larue County, south of the Rolling Fork River.

The1880 US Census, where Amanda is listed with her husband Uriah, states that she was born in Kentucky. Her occupation, listed in the 1880 census at Otter Creek, Larue Co., Kentucky, was "Keeping house". The census also states that her father's birthplace was KY, and her mother's birthplace was PA.
