Nix, Lennie Badgett

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Lennie Badgett Nix, 86, Rockledge, who died Tuesday, May 24, 2005. The Revs. Lowell Peppers and Donnie Flynn will officiate. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Park. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.

Mrs. Nix was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She was a faithful family member of Rockledge Baptist Church. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nix; and son, Alvin Nix.

She is survived by her sons, Andy (Janice) Nix, Gadsden, and Gary (Deanna) Nix, Attalla; daughters, Carolyn (Wayne) Rickles, Sardis, Kay (Joe) Rattray, Centre, and Sue (Johnny) Owens, Sardis; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Blake Nix, Kevin Nix, Tony Nix, Clint Owens, Josh Owens, Tim Poole and Shane Rattray; and special friend, Leslie Ellis.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the prayers and support during her illness. Special thanks to Dr. Debora Reiland, all employees of Etowah County Home Health Department and special nephew, Tom Badgett.

The family will receive friends up until the time of service.
