Decatur County Journal, October 16, 1890, Alonzo Work.

The death of Alonzo Work who died at Lamoni, has been a resident of Pleasanton for many years and was about eighty years of age, but for two years he has been a great sufferer, being entirely helpless for that length of time. He died at his daughter's Mrs. Mary Bradley, of Lamoni, on the 8th of October, and was brought to Pleasanton on the 9th and interred in the cemetery south of town. His family and friends have our warmest sympathy.
