Grandpa was in the National Guard when he was 18 years old sometime in 1927. Grandma Richards did not remember when he left the Guard but it was before they were married.

Grandpa was an appliance repairman. He and Dad had a business together for awhile.

I wrote to the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper in March of 2006. The reply I received dated 25 Mar 2006, stated that there was no obituary on file for Alonzo R. Brown. The correspondence desk found a record for the death certificate in the Florida Death Index of Alonzo R. Brown dod of 1/21/89 with a death certificate number 9568. The address to obtain a death certificate is Office of Vital Statistics, PO Box 210, Jacksonville, FL 32231. Enclosed was also a copy of the record in the Social Security Index.
