Obituary

DeGRAFF – Alice Delores Martin, 85, of Bellefontaine passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 11, 1928 to the late Oliver H. and Mary Luella (Tuttle) Rhoads. On September 4, 1946 she married James Richard Martin and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Marie Martin; two sisters Patricia and Annamary; and two brothers; Oliver Ralph Rhoads and an infant brother.

She is survived by two daughters Pamela Louise Deffenbaugh and Donna Eileen Lethcoe; three sons James Michael Martin, John Lee (Barb) Martin and Karl R. (Merilyn) Martin Sr; 15 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister Roberta Boley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice had worked in food service at Logan Acres Care Center and had a passion for horses. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1801 Wright Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME in DeGraff.
