Miss Alice Kelly, 87, died Sunday, June 7, in a Janesville nursing home where she had received care since 1942. She was born March 4, 1872, the daughter of James and Fannie Oviatt Kelly, and lived with them on Madison Ave., where the Milton and Milton Junction Telephone Co. exchange is now located. The last years of her Milton Junction residence were at 10 Third St. A brother, Dr. Charles Kelly, preceded her in death.
Her closest surviving relative is a cousin, Dr. Z. W. Gilbert, Milton. Their mothers were sisters. Other survivors are second cousins, Mrs. John Mallon and Jack Gilbert of Milton, Mrs. Robert Knapton of Newville and Mrs. Robert Bosdin of Albion.
Funeral services were held in the Albrecht Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Elmo F. Randolph of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Milton Junction Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. Z. W. Gilbert, Lt. Col. John Mallon, Jack Gilbert and Robert Knapton.
