Obituary NEW MIDDLETOWN WOMAN IS TAKEN Mrs. Alice Smith, widow of John F. Smith, died at her home at New Middletown, Thursday at 12:50 p.m. She had been in excellent health up to a week ago, when she was stricken with paralysis, and from that time on the end was apparent. She was born in Austintown township, Feb. 9, 1855, and had lived in that vicinity all her life, coming from one of the best and most widely known families in that section of the state. Mrs. Smith was one of the foremost members of the Zion Lutheran Church at New Middletown, and always took an active part in every social or religious function, where by her kind and winning disposition, she made for herself a host of friends who will deeply regret her sudden passing. Her husband preceded her in death four years ago. Two sons survive, Chauncey O. and Ezra T. Smith, both of New Middletown, also four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the family residence Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and at the Zion Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Zion cemetery, New Middletown.
