"Keeney, (Kenee), Savage says, this name has not become Kinee. Alexander, acc. to both Savage and Hinman, was at Weth. early; his name does not appear on Weth. Rec. till 1666-7, … but Htfd. Co. Prob. Rec. accredit him to Weth. where he d. in 1680, the invent, of his est. being taken 15 Oct. [1 October per Manwaring], that yr. by Nath'l Boreman and John Wolcott, amt. of est. £86-06-00, ment. the wid. (name not given) and … ch. … The est. was left with the wid. until ch. should come of age (Ct. Rec. 2 Dec., 1680); in 1682 the Town paid for the schooling of two of the children. His eld. Son, Alexander, rec'd from the Town, in 1683, a gt. Of 20 acres ld. In (present) So. Glast."
