Confused Individuals??

While Jacobus suggests that it was Alexander, son of Alexander and Mary, who married Ann Benjamin, he also notes "But one Alexander Fairchild is said to have m. Esther Stevens, dau. of Capt. Ebenezer of New Fairchild." Also, the 1766 burial in Stratford, which appears to belong to the husband of Ann Benjamin, given the lack of children afterwards, indicates he was in his 30th year. This would be consistent with Alexander Fairchild, son of Curtis and Marcey Fairchild, born 14 Dec 1736 in Durham, Connecticut, second cousin of this Alexander (son of Alexander and Mary).

More research is required.
