Obituary in Kalamazoo Gazette, March 26 1993: "Owen, Albert L. Formerly of Kalamazoo. Passed away March 24, 1993, at Sunset Point Nursing Center, Clearwater, Fla. He was born in Glendale, MI, Dec. 12, 1899 the son of Eugene and Cynthia (Farnsworth) Owen and lived most of his life in Kalamazoo. He retired after 33 years from Sutherland Paper Co. where he was a supervisor. Preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Helen Bair, Etta Atkinson and Marguerite Lyfter; 1 brother, Ernest Owen; 3 sisters, Edna Palmer, Goldie Vogt, and Arkie DeLeeuw. Surviving are 3 daughters and their spouses ..., 2 half-brothers ..., 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. There will be no funeral or visitation, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date."
