WHITINSVILLE — Agnes (Stienstra) Ebbeling, 90, of Heritage Drive died Weds., Feb. 29, 2012 in the St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville. She was the wife of the late Titus Ebbeling Jr. who died in 1980.
Mrs. Ebbeling had been employed at the former Bernat Mills in Uxbridge until retiring in the early 1970’s. She had previously worked at the former Rockdale Mill in Rockdale.
She was born November 20, 1921 in the Netherlands, daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Reitsma) Stienstra.
A resident of Whitinsville since 1987, she had previously lived in Uxbridge. Mrs. Ebbeling was a Sunday school teacher at the North Uxbridge Baptist Church. She was a voracious reader and was known for her apple pies.
She is survived by one son, Dr. William L. and his wife Diane Ebbeling of Fresno, CA; one daughter, Linda A. and her husband Steven Dzicek of Northbridge; three brothers, Art Stienstra of New York, George Stienstra of Auburn, MA and Herman “Huck” Stienstra of Indiana; one sister, Ethel Bates of Auburn; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Ann Taft.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 480 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Northbridge. Visiting hours will be Sunday March 11, 2012 from 6-8 PM in the Whitinsville funeral home.
