    Adolph A Philipps, 56, died at his home near here shortly before noon today after an illness of one year. Born in the town of Wilson, June 6, 1896, Philipps had operated a farm 2 miles east of here. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Alois and Everett, Winona Rt. 2; Donald, Winona, and Robert at home; seven daughters, Mrs Wilfred (Marguerite) Redig, Winona Rt.1; Mrs Joseph (Jeanette) Lelwica, Minneapolis; Mrs George (Virginia) Koenig, Shelby, Mont; Mrs J.D. (Marcella) Scott, Winona; Mrs Eugene (Dorothy) Chadbourne, Winona Rt. 3; Eleanor, Winona, and Catherine, at home.Other survivors include five brothers, Louis, Nampa Idaho; John, Leo, Joe, and Frank, Conrad, Montl, and five sisters, Mrsl John Stiever, Winona Rt. 2; Mrs Alphonse Wunderlich and Mrs. William Stanek, both of Winona; Mrs Felix Malotka, Homer, and Mrs. Marie Moran, Conrad Mont.Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

    Conducted at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wilson, the Rt. Rev. Joseph F Hale officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben Rolfing, Arthur Redig, George Fakler, George Koenig, Peter Peshan and Albert Gernes. Robert Wessel, George Mathis, Frank Renk, Michael Redig, Albert Kammerer, Edward Kammerer, Gerald Redig, Louis Thill, Alois Wessel and Mark Zimmerman, members of the Holy Name Society of the church, were hononary pallbearers. Attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Joseph Lelwica, a daughter, and her husband, Minneapolis.
