Adam Harness Keller, born 10/4/1818 in pendleton county west virginia married Sarah catherine harper, daughter of Col. Jesse Hinkle and Catherine Harper. She was born 7/30/1825 in either west virginia or virginia. They were married on 2/25/1841 in Franklin, west virginia. Adam died on 12/6/1888 in Numa, Iowa. Sarah died on 8/24/1902 in clay county, missouri. Both are buried at southlawn cemetery in seymour, iowa.

Adam joined the Swamp Dragons, a Union Guerilla group, or militia. Adam was in Missouri for a while, but things there must have been as bad as here. He finally settled in Iowa. In Iowa, he spent the rest of his days as a farmer. Dying there in 1888.
