Litchfield, Minn. Couple, Wed in DeKalb County and Widely Esteemed, Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary in Reception
From the Litchfield Review at Litchfield, Minn. comes the announcement of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Renwick, esteemed residents of DeKalb county at the time of their marriage 50 years ago.
Nearly 200 relatives and friends assisted in the golden wedding celebration of Mr. And Mrs. George H. Renwick Tuesday night at St. John's hall in Darwin. Mr. and Mrs. Renwick have resided in Darwin village eight years and about the same length of time on a farm west of town.
Relatives from away who were present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Renwick and family and Joe Renwick of Hawkeye, IA., and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Gandy of Hayfield, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Renwick were presented with a purse of silver and other forms of congratulation. After the presentations, both gave responses.

Mr. and Mrs. George H. Renwick were married Oct. 15, 1885 and for several years resided in DeKalb county, having moved to Iowa in 1904, and to Minnesota in 1914.
Mrs. Renwick will be remembered as Ada Gandy of Cortland and Mr. Renwick was the son of George and Mary Renwick of Mayfield.
Mrs. Renwick's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gandy, celebrated their golden wedding on Oct. 9, 1909, there being also three other members of the Gandy family who lived to observe their own 50th anniversary.
