ADA A. DOWNING was born on 19 Sep 1865 at Waverly, Pike County, Ohio. Ada came from a big family. She was the third child of nine, 5 boys and four girls. She was the eldest daughter.
She married HARRY SYLVESTER CASSMAN, son of SAMUEL L. CASSMAN and MARY ANN KAHL, in 1892 at Waverly, Pike County, Ohio. Harry and Ada had five children, first three sons, then two daughters.
She died of a Stroke, on 4 Aug 1945 at Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana, at age 79. She was buried in Rest Haven cemetery at Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
