- NOTE 1850: Abraham Smith and 2nd wife Elizabeth Guinn weren't married until May 4, 1836. Thus, the :two older females listed in the household, 22 year old "P. E. E. Smith" and 20 year old "Mary B. Smith", likely were daughters of Abraham's born to 1st wife, Mary "Polly" Scott, who had died on November 19, 1832. The census record showing Abraham's age as "51" may be likely "57", which would agree with later census records, making him born abt. 1793.
- The younger children in the household, John, Daniel P. H., and Edward were Abrhaham's children with 2nd wife, Elizabeth Guinn. Two year old "Guadalupe V.", a Male, is an unknown child. The subsequent 1860 Census shows 12 year "Abraham Smith" living in the household. If Abraham in 1860 was "Guadaloope V." in 1850, I have no idea whatsoever how they could've gotten the two names confused.
- Abraham Smith's sister, Elenor, married Jonathan Peale on February 4, 1829. Eveline Peale living in the household may have been related to Jonathan Peale's family. Unknown why Eveline was living in Abraham's 1850 household. She is listed as being 40 years old on the subsequent 1860 Census and as living in the home of Jonathan Peale's mother, Catherine. Eveline is likely the "Eveline B. Peale" buried in Massanutten Cross Keys Cemetery near Abraham's sister, Elenor (Smith) Peale, and her husband, Jonathan Peale. Eveline was noted as having died on July 7, 1890, at the age of "73y 2m 3d" indicating that she was born in 1817 and was actually 33 at the time of the 1850 Census.
- CENSUS 1860: Abraham Smith and 2nd wife Elizabeth Guinn found on the 1860 Census living in Harrison County, Virginia, with a Clarksburg P. O. address. Census enumerated June 1, 1860, and is found on Page 998.

- NOTE 1870: Unknown exactly when Abraham Smith and 2nd wife Elizabeth Guinn died and/or where they are buried. However, it can be assumed that both died prior to the subsequent 1880 Census. Son Abraham Smith had married in about 1876 to Susan Aleshire, and they had 2 children by 1880. Living in Abraham Jr.'s 1880 household were brothers John and Edward Smith as well as 5 Blair nieces and nephews; Mary, John, Lucy, Thomas, and Ashton. Every indication is that Abraham Smith and 2nd wife Elizabeth Guinn were deceased by 1880. Its quite likely that the three Smith brothers were living on Abraham, Sr.'s former homestead in Locust Dale Township, Madison County, Virginia.
- CENSUS 1880: Abraham Smith, Sr. and wife Elizabeth Guinn were likely both deceased by 1880. Several of their sons were found on the 1880 Census living on the Smith homestead in Locust Dale Township, Madison County, Virginia. Census enumerated June 10, 1880, and is found on Page 439C.
