    "52. Abraham Crane2 [7], (Benjamin1). Married Hannah _____, and died July 5, 1713, aged 45. Inventory of his estate taken Nov. 19, 1713, gave a valuation of Drew land in the allotment of 1694. He owned 17½ acres in Westfield, 8 acres in Cedar Swamp and 9 acres in Field. Served as fence viewer in 1699. Hannah, the widow, with Joseph Belding, were appointed, Aug. 3, 1713, to administer the estate. They reported to the Court Nov. 20, 1713. The Wethersfield records show that he purchased of his brother Israel land located on the Connecticut River which formerly belonged to Benjamin, senior, Israel signing the deed. Records of the Probate Court show that Jan. 25, 1731-2, Hannah Crane, administratrix, reported amount of estate of Abraham Crane, late of Wethersfield, £55—9—2, with debts due said estate of £10-8-6. Oct. 4, 1737, Hannah, wife of Abraham Crane, asked the Court for dower. John, eldest son, had £5—7—10, Benoni, Abraham, Mary, Hannah and Lucy each £2—13—11, of the movable estate."

    "Nov. 7, 1752, James Treat and Mary his wife asked the Court why the estate of her father Abraham Crane should not be distributed, and it was ordered distributed, April 26, 1763, as follows: To John Crane, eldest son, double share. To Benoni and Abraham Crane, Mary Treat, Hannah Crane and Lucy Forbs, each a single share. Joseph Bingham, Judge. Hezekiah May and Joseph Boardman reported distribution of the estate. John Crane of Wethersfield appealed from judgment of this Court to the superior Court. July 2, 1771, Nathaniel Copley, whose wife was Mary, daughter of Abraham Crane, deceased, called attention of the Court to some unclaimed common land belonging to estate, and Court ordered it distributed. Sergt. John Crane, two shares; heirs of Abraham and Benoni, by law, Mary Copley, Lucy, wife of Joseph Forbs, and Hannah Crane, one share each. John appealed it to the Superior Court."

    Page 56—6 November, 1739: Hannah Crane exhibits a further account of her Adms., and moves for a distribution to the heirs of the sd. decd., which this Court doth order:

    To Hannah Crane, the relict, £9-08s-10d; To John Crane, eldest son, 5-07-10; To Benoni, Abraham, Mary, Hannah and Lucy Crane, to each, 2-13-11¼

    And appoint Ebenezer Belding, Joseph Boardman and Noadiah Dickinson distributors.

    Page 79 (Vol. XVI) 7 November, 1752: James Treat and Mary his wife, of Wethersfield, one of the daughters of Abraham Crane, deceased, notified the heirs to the estate of the deceased to appear before this Court and show cause why sd. estate should not be distributed according to law. The parties appeared and were heard and agreed to have a distribution as follows: To John Crane, eldest son, a double part of the estate, and to Benoni and Abraham Crane, Mary Treat, Hannah Crane and Lucy Forbes, to each of them their single shares. And appoint Mr. Hezekiah May, Jonathan Belding and Joseph Boardman, of Wethersfield, distributors.
