    Abisha Washburn of Salisbury, CT, in 1774 or 1775 built a saw mill on a mill site voted him in March 1765. Returned to Salisbury and mill was destroyed by Indians. Returned 1784 built a new mill which was washed away the next spring. In 1793 received deed to a farm from son-in-law John Chipman, and in 1796 deeded it to another son-in-law Freedom Loomis in return for care of himself and his wife. Mr. Washburn d. 1813, aged 91 years, his wife in 1815 aged 87.
