1795: A petition to the Hardin County Court for a road from the Ohio River via "Flippins Run" to Elizabethtown bears signatures of Abner & Abisha Ashcraft (Richard & Elizabeth's sons), as well as that of Thomas Lincoln, father of Abraham Lincoln (who was born near Hodgenville, in then Hardin County).

July Court 1804: Abisha Ashcraft charged with felony. Abisha Ashcraft in custody of the sheriff and being arraigned of the premises and said he was not guilty of the charge whereupon sundry witnesses were summoned to establish him a man of good character and no witnesses appearing on behalf of the commonwealth against him it is orderd he be acquitted and discharged. [hard to read which or get a good copy but it doesn't ever say what he was in trouble for] [Hardin Co. Court Order Bk A p. 489]

23 Nov 1807: Abisha Ashcraft paid 12 shillings by the court for one old wolf scalp. [Hardin Co. KY Court Order Bk B p. 189]
