  2. The secondary sources Bond and Child Genealogy covering the Child family name Elisha's wife as Abigail, while the records of Lincoln give his intention to, and the records of Concord his marriage to "Nabby Wench". The widow of Elisha, Abigail, d. in Lincoln 27 Oct 1827, a. 73, so she was born about 1754.
There is a Nabby Winch mentioned in some probate documents (see Essex Genealogist, Vol. 8, p. 116). The article is very ambiguous and is mostly focused on grandchildren of Daniel Winch. Abigail's age at death places her birth in 1754, which presumably would make her the child of Daniel Winch and second wife Abigail Read, of Framingham. However, no such child (as Abigail) is recorded to Daniel Winch and Abigail Read, but a daughter Nabby is mentioned in Daniel's will of 1758, under 18 [Middlesex probate 25206]. In 1762, Nathan Winch is appointed guardian of Sarah & Nabbe, children of Daniel Winch, aged under 14 [Middlesex probate 25208].
Daniel's son Daniel was placed under the care of a guardian, being an "idler and waster". The accounting of the guardian [Middlesex Probate 25209] shows expenses in 1791 for schooling daughter Nabby and other children. But she would be too young if generating schooling costs in 1791. There is also mentioned a payment to Abigail Robinson in 1790 for relinquishing her right of dower when they sold Daniel Jr.'s real estate to pay his debts. [One would guess this is his mother, the land being from the estate of his father, and she still having her rights of dower (Jonathan Robinson m. (3) after his 2nd wife d. 1768 Abigail ---, who d. Marlborough 1806, in her 97th year.)]
