References
  1. Barry, p. 441, makes a very vague statement, saying "See Mid. Prob. files" in regards to Abigail being a half-sister to children of Nathaniel Wilson. Source:Maling, Nathan P. Descendants of Simon Mellen C. 1636-1694, of Sherborne, Massachusetts, p. 28, says of Barry, "There is an obscure reference to Middlesex probate files regarding her relationship to the 'former' children. We can assume that she is a daughter of Elizabeth and not Hannah." The original reference appears to refer to the following file:

[Middlesex Probate 25196], Susanna Wilson singlewoman, administration granted to Richard Mellen 19 Jan 1746/47. Petition dated 5 Feb 1746/47, Edward Wilson says "Being Informed that Richard Millins of Framingham who married Abigail Wilson half sister to Susannah Wilson Late of s'd Town Deceas'd Intestate has Lately by means of some unfaire Representation to y'r Honour as must be presumed obtained administration on ye s'd Estate ... the Decas'd Left two own Brothers who do not decline that Trust & that s'd Richard is by Blood no way akin to s'd deceased..." 19 Feb 1746/47: Richard was replaced by Edward as administrator.
