Thomas Chipman married in Stonington, Conn., 26 Apr 1711 Abigail Lothrop, who was born in Barnstable 23 April 1689, the daughter of John and Mary (Cole) Lothrop. Abigial died after 8 April 1754, the date she was accepted as a joint executrix of her husband's will.
[Note: this article does not actually present any evidence of Abigail's parentage, supporting the birthdate with a citation to MD 6:238, but never connecting the married Abigail to the Abigail born on that date. There are at least two different Abigails proposed in the sources cited on Thomas's page.]
