    Any that may be concerned Know y't I Abigail Blood do freely and absolutely acquitt & discharge Samuel Shattuck of Groton in the County of Middlesex and Enosh Laurence of the Same Town & County from all obligations or Sentence of Court concerning one Illegitimate childe w'ch said Abigail Blood accused said Samuel to be the reputed ffather of said Childe of all Charges for time past or shall arise hereafter for ever and also we the Subscribers Andrew ffoster Abraham Foster & Abigail Blood do binde us for our Selves jointly and Severally in a bond of fifty pounds currant Money of New England to Secure the Town of Andover harmless for the maintenance of said Childe. In witness here of we the Subscribers have set to our hands and seals this 31 day of decemb'r 1695. Before signing and Sealing Abigail Blood is meant ye Relict widow of James Blood of Groton, And Andrew ffoster and Abraham Foster of Andover in ye County of Essex.

Foster Genealogy : Being the Record of the Posterity of Reginald Foster, an Early Inhabitant of Ipswich, in New England,, p. 1035, which should be the definitive Foster genealogy if it didn't make so many mistakes, misreports the marriage date of Samuel Kemp and Sarah Foster, d/o Andrew Foster, as 15 Oct 1667, despite Billerica records showing 1662 (an error which seems to have been copied by others). As a result, Pierce leaves all the children born before 1667 (including Abigail) out of the family.
