Abigall, daughter of John & Sarah Haws, born February the 5th, 1699-700.

  2. Joseph Barber m. Medway 1726 Abigail Hawes, who d. 1776 in her 76th y., this age at death an excellent match to this Abigail Hawes. Source:Hawes, Raymond Gordon. Edward Hawes Heirs, p. 11 and 20, says she married Samuel Copp. [p. 20: Samuel Copp is said to be born 1671, marriage Abigail Haws in 1726/7, and remarried in 1734.] Source:Hall, Della Kendall. Ancestry of Athalia (Haws) Kendall (1886-1964) of Logan and and Nephi, Utah, p. 2, 13, says the wife of Samuel Copp was the daughter of Nathaniel who was born 17 Dec 1697. This second Abigail doesn't match the age of death of the wife of Joseph Barber, but neither Abigail nor either possible husband seems to participate in the agreement of heirs of Samuel Barber. This suggests that, despite what age at death suggests, the daughter of Samuel married Samuel Copp, had no children, and died before 1734, as the Edward Hawes genealogy suggests, therefore having no representatives left to participate in that agreement in 1741. Nathaniel died in 1716 and while his will and probate refers to daughter Abigail, it was before either Abigail married, and so offers no clue. No conclusive evidence either way has been located.
