↑ The birth date about 1663 is a guess. Richard Gardner m. 1651, and had John 1652, Anna 1655, Benjamin 1656, Henry 1658, Esther 1659, Ruth 1661. The others (Abigail and Rebecca) don't seem to be recorded The will of Richard Gardner in 1698, as given in Wyman's Charletown Genealogies and Estates, Vol. 1, p. 399, lists Abigail Thompson. Given that she married an older widower, it seems probable Abigail was slightly older, so making her as old as practical, assuming two year spacing, puts her birth about 1663.
