    20 Jun 1836: Request of heirs at law of Abel Piper, late of Phillipston, deceased, that Asa Piper oldest son, be appointed administrator, there being no widow. Heirs within the state are listed as Asa Piper, Artemas Piper, Amos Piper and Sybbil Piper. The heirs out of the state are Sylvanus Piper, Betsey Lincoln, Lucy Maynard and the children of Amasa Piper deceased, those "residing in the states of Ohio and Illinois". Bond given the same date.

    23 May 1839: Account of Asa Piper, administrator of Abel Piper late of Phillipston deceased, allowed. Distribution of balance to "eight Children ... in equal shares" ordered.
    23 Apr 1842: Petition of Maynard B. Piper, administrator of Asa Piper, that inventory contains $186.62 that belongs to heirs of Abel Piper, and requests that it be deducted and accounted in Abel Piper's estate.
