Adkinsin the chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Monday,August 25, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will beRev. Melton Prothro. Interment will follow in Hill CrestMemorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home todayfrom 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. He entered in to rest on August22, 2003. Mr. Adkins, a native of Coushatta, had owned andoperated Adkins Welding and Ornamental in Bossier City. He waspreceded in death by his parents, Eli and Malinda Adkinsbrother, Garlin Adkins sisters, Fleeta Spurlock and MelbaGarner. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, JanieBarnette Adkins daughter, Janice Stromseth and husband Quentin,of Sun City West, AZ son, Aaron Adkins and wife Gloria, ofBossier City, LA three granddaughters, one grandson and twogreat-granddaughters. The family would like to thank the GraceHome for all of their love and care. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made in his memory to the Grace Home, 1035Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
