All, I downloaded this document, in Adobe format, a few minutes ago from the British Public Records Office (PRO) website (<http://www.documentsonline.pro.gov.uk>). If you don't have Adobe to open the attachment, it is a free download. The writing is cramped and difficult to read but the Will is written in English and not Latin (thank God). Thomas Noble's son, also named Thomas, left England two years after this Will was written in 1650, at the est. age of 20. The occupation of his father and the time frame of this document dovetails with other documented information. I believe this is the Will of "our" Thomas but there is no mention of his wife, Rachel Gardner. Thomas' wife in 1650 was Annis Noble. Did he remarry? For those members of the Noble-Warriner group who have not seen a copy of this Will, I wish you "happy hunting." The connection to Leicestershire through Thomas's brother, Richard, is particularly interesting. I have previously posted Leicestershire research about the Noble family but was unable to link that research to Thomas Noble living in London and the church records of his family at St. Giles Cripplegate.
