[edit] Part 1Order Determining Value of Estate and Finding No Inheritance Tax (Subd. 4, Section 3, Acts 1929) The matter of determining the Value of the Property of said decedent and the tax imposed by the inheritance and transfer of tax laws upon the transfer thereof coming on to be heard at this time, pursuant to notice given on the 4th day of February 1930, to all persons interested, including the State Board Tax Commissioners and County Treasurer; And it appearing that the inventory and report of Harvey McBroom, Administrator and the report of Appraisor, have heretofore been duly filed herein, and that said deceased died on or about the 3rd day of April 1929 And having taken testimony and considered the inventory, appraisal report and the whole record herein, and having heard all parties desiring a hearing, and being fully advised of the premises; The Court finds, and determines that the clear market value of the property of the said decedent, subject to and within the jurisdiction of the laws of this state, are as follows:
Wherefore, it is ordered, that nothing is due from Said persons as and for tax imposed by the acts in relation to the taxable transfers of property, and that the following property be free from any lien of inheritance and transfer
[edit] Part 2Dated April 21, 1930 By the Court 0 B Ratcliff In the matter of the estate of Cynthia A. Cooper, deceased. To the honorable O.B. Ratcliff, Judge of said Court:
The undersigned administrator of the estate of said decedent respectfully submits the following, his account in final settlement of said estate:
He charges himself as follows:
He claims the following credits, as evidenced by vouchers herewith filed
Recapitulation
Said administrator shows to the said court that at least one year has elapsed since the grant of letters of administration upon said estate and the due publication of notice thereof, as evidenced by proof of such publication on file in the Clerks Office of this Court; that all debts and liabilities of said estate have been paid and the assets thereof fully administered upon save as to the disposition of said surplus so remaining in his hands. That no part of said estate is liable for any inheritance tax. Said administrator further shows that decedent left surviving her, six children, Charles M. Cooper, James R. Cooper. Minnie E. McAlister, Emery F. Cooper, Ota McCaw and Effie M. Reichard, and who, as this administrator is informed and believes, are said decedent's sole heirs at law are entitled to share in her estate, real and personal in the proportions fixed by statute. That said intestate died the owner in fee simple of the following; described real estate, remaining undisposed of upon final settlement, towit: An undivided 1/3 interest of the Southeast quarter of of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section nineteen (19), township twenty (20) North, Range six (6) West, containing ten acres, all of said real estate being in Fountain Co, State of Indiana. Said administrator further shows that he has distributed to said heirs in said estate said sum of $1306.52 and has taken their vouchers for same, which are herewith filed and made a part of this report as follows, towit:
Said administrator asks that this account may be approved and the amounts claimed therein for his own services and that he may be released and discharged from his said trust and said estate adjudged fully and finally administered. Harvey McBroom Administrator. Harvey McBroom, being duly sworn upon oath, says that the foregoing, his account as administrator in final settlement of the estate of Cynthia A. Cooper, deceased, contains a correct and complete exhibit of his doings and liability as such administrator, and that the statement therein set forth as true, as he believes.
