In the name of God amen I Gray Nutgrass of the State of Kentucky and county of Shelby being sick in body tho of sound and Disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the Uncertainly of human life
and being Desirous to Depose of all Wordly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give & bequeath
the same in manner following that is to say.
1st I Desire that my Daughter Frances Wiley & the heirs which She now has shall have eighty acres of Land belonging to me lying & being in Putman County Indiana adjoining the tract that my Daughter Nancy Cartmill
now lives on it being the only part of my estate that I Desire her to have.
2nd I Desire that my Daughter Nancy Cartmell have the tract of land belonging to me in Putman County,
Indiana upon which she now lives to her & her heirs forever. Also one bay mare it being the only part of my
estate I Desire her to have.
3rd I Desire that my son James Nutgrass have one half of the land upon which I now live of the side upon
which he lives for & in consideration of which he is to pay my other children here named that is my Daughter
Mary Conly & James Conley her husband, Harrison Nutgrass my son and Sarah Collins my Daughter & John
Collins her husband the sum of two hundred Dollars in two years the same to be equally Divided between
them.
4th I Desire that my Grandson Gray Conley have my sucking coalt
5th I Desire that my son Harrison Nutgrass have my sorrel ___ ___ coalt
6th I Desire that my Grandson Gray Collins have my sorrel horse and
7th Lastly I Desire that the one half of the land upon which I now live not herein before Disposed of together
with all & every Species of stock and property not herein Desposed of be sold & the proceeds of the same
together with the money I now have and that which is owing to me to be equally Divided between my several
children named to wit: Sarah Collins & John Collins her husband and Mary Conley & James Conley her husband
and Harrison Nutgrass my son I hereby make this my Last will & testament revoking all other of former wills or
testaments by me heretofore made in which witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by seal
this 31st Day of May Eighteen hundred forty-two.

A writing purporting to be the Last will & testament of Gray Nutgrass Deceased was produced to the court
whereof __ Nathan Sal_ons & John Ruble two of the subscribing witnesses thereto being sworn state that said
writing was signed & acknowledged by said Nutgrass and for his last will testament & that they believe he was
of sound Disposing mind & memory at the time of Doing the same which will is ordered to be recorded & there
being no ___ named __ ___ time is given until next term to qualify.
