Marilyn W. Emerick, 70, of Orono, Maine, died Feb 19 at home. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of Central High School and attended Syracuse University and the University of Pennsylvania. She was a n administrative assistant in the English department for 30 years at the University of Maine and previously was a secretary to the director at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, Philadelphia. Survivors: her husband of 48 years, Richard; two daughters, Lydia McArthur of Parker, Colo., and Melissa Emerick of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Dolores Rankin of Syracuse; three grandchildren.
