Henry A. Brown, 65, of No. 331 South Warren street, for many years sexton of the First Baptist church, died suddenly yesterday morning at the Hospital of the Good Shepherd. Coroner S. Ellis Crane rendered a verdict of death due to heart disease. Brown had never complained of his heart and when he went to work yesterday morning he seemed in the best of spirits.

About 10.30 o'clock he suddenly collapsed while at work and persons in the building at the time called an ambulance. Altho every effort was made to revive him by administering stimulants, he died in the receiving room of the hospital. Following an autopsy at the county morgue the body was released to the family for burial. The body was taken to the undertaking rooms of W. A. Drinkwine, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. B. C. Clausen of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hattie Brown, one daughter; Mrs. M. L. Baker, and two sons, Alonzo Brown of this city and Percy J. Brown of Dennison, Ia. He was born near Woodstock in Madison county but had lived in this city the greater part of his life. Before taking up the work at the church, he was employed for many years at L.C. Smith & Brothers typewriter factory.
