Gilbert, Lazarus was born on Long Island, N.Y. April 8, 1776 and came to Canada in 1817 settling in Adolphustown, where he died Oct 23,1861. He was predeceased 5 days earlier by his brother samuel Gilbert a Baptist minister in the U.S.. He was survived by his wife Helen. For many year Mr. Gilbet was an Exhorter
