Elizabeth Davidson Harrison, 91, of Falling Creek Rd, Appomattox, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Westminster Canterbury. She was the wife of the late John Lea Harrison. Born in Appomattox, June 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Osborne Davidson and Annie Mosley Thornhilll Davidson. Mrs. Harrison was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church. She also attended Madison College, now James Madison University. She is survived by three sons; John O. Harrison and wife, Mary Lou of Appomattox, Thomas H. Harrison and wife, Jan of Charlottesville, Phillip L. Harrison and wife, Maurine of Appomattox; two sisters, Mary D. Barrell of Harrisonburg, Lily Bibb Haley of Winchester; eight grandchildren, Lisa H. McCall, Brenton J. Harrison, Joshua E. Harrison, Nathanael S. Harrison, Joel S. Harrison, Russell L. Harrison, Zachary S. Harrison and Heather R. Harrison and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother; Thomas Osborne Davidson and three sisters, Eleanor D. Roach, Catherine D. Judy and Annie T. Matthews. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, in Hebron Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Walker and the Rev. James D. Newman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service at the church and other times at the residence of John and Mary Lou Harrison, 3246 Pumping Station Rd., Appomattox.
