RUSSELLTON FARMER IS FATALLY HURT BY TREE WHICH FALLS WRONG WAY
Dies In Hospital From Skull Fracture
A tree which fell the wrong way resulted in the death of Henry W. Michael, 65-year-old Russellton farmer, yesterday.
While cutting down a tree on his farm, Michael was caught by the tree as two sons and a brother-in-law looked on.
His sons, Wilbur and Richard, and brother-in-law, Louis Henrich, took the injured man to his home for medical treatment, then rushed him to the Citizens General hospital. There it was found that he had sustained a fractured skull and, in seeking to protect himself from the falling tree, a broken left arm. Michael died at 7:20 o'clock last night.
He was a well-known farmer in the lower valley area, having been active in the produce field for nearly a half-century. He was at one time the leading tomato producer in the valley. On his farm are more than 5,000 fruit trees.

Born September 19, 1870 in Etna, he had lived on the Russellton farm since he was a year old, or for 64 years.
He leaves is wife, Catherine Henrich Michael, and the following children: Russell H., Wilbur J., Richard G. and Edward T., all at home, Howard of New York, Mrs. Dora M. Molinare of McKeesport, Mrs. Nora M. Morrells of New Kensington, the latter two graduates of the hospital in which their father died, Mrs. Alice C. Durgan of Swissvale, Walter A. of San Francisco, Cal., and Mrs. Martha G. Rumbaugh of Freeport.
Two brothers and five sisters also survive - Mrs. Anna Bickel of Butler, Mrs. Margaret Magill and Miss Ida Michael of Elrome, PA., Mrs. Emma Dasin of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Mary Shaner of Cheswick, George Michael of Beaver county and Edward Michael of Sharpsburg.
