Concerning the Francis Austin=Mary Borton line the author states: "Material for this line has been sent to me by descendants. Over half of the Borton descendants identify with this particular line because of Charity and Ann Rogers. It is by the marriage certificate of Mary and Francis that proof of John Borton, Jr's first wife's name has been found. I have NOT proven this material, except with the marriage certificate. Descendants have sent the information with the up-date of their own particular line."
