Obituary of William Clay Allison
"WILLIAM CLAY ALLISON
June 21, 1935 — March 20, 2005
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for William Clay Allison, 69, of Brawley, who died Sunday in Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the mortuary. The Allison family will officiate.
Mr. Allison was born June 21, 1935, in DeQueen, Ark., and moved to the Imperial Valley from Fort Smith, Ark., in 1954.
He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1955.
Mr. Allison served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
He and his father owned A&W Harvesting.
He also was a heavy-equipment operator for Goldfields Mining Co.
He married Janie Brown in Yuma on Nov. 13, 1960.
Mr. Allison was a member of the American Legion Post 60 of Brawley.
He loved to prospect for gold and to hunt and fish, family said, adding he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Allison of Brawley; sons, Keith and Mike Allison, both of Brawley; daughter, Teresa Utter of Missouri; sister, Bertie Allison of El Centro; brother, Elmer Allison of Okolona, Ark.; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
