Mrs Jesse E. Cook Dies In Hospital Mrs. Jesse E. Cook 534 West Burkitt died at 8 a.m. today at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cook was born Florence L. Van Gorder on Feb. 14, 1888 in Iowa. Her husband homesteaded six miles from Decker and the couple lived on the ranch 38 years before moving to Ranchester in 1938. They came to Sheridan to make their home in 1948. Mrs. Cook came west from Iowa in 1890 by covered wagon. her marriage took place Nov. 17, 1904 in Sheridan. She is survived by the widower and four children; Mrs. Don Brock, Buffalo; Arthur Cook, Ranchester; Wayne Cook, Cashion, Ariz., Leslie, route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lupton, Sheridan, and Miss Ivy Van Gorder, Corning, Calif., on brother, Claude Van Gorder, also of Corning. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements, Champion's in charge, are incomplete.
