Personal Correspondance to Myrtle Todman from J. Casey 6385, dated 16/6/1938.

Reference number: PPT001

Police Station Terang. 16/6/38

Dear Mrs Todamn I have received the letter and form forwarded by Mr Crump, and I have to advise that the inquest has been completed. The finding of the Deputy Coroner was that Mr Todman died from coronary occlusion. This is a medical term meaning a form of heart decease. The Doctor explained that the arteries leading from the heart became contracted and retarded the flow of blood to and from the heart. This was the cause of the trouble that caused the pains during the Saturday. On the Saturday evening the contraction became more acute, causing a complete blockage of the flow of blood, and this brought the collapse. Apart from this complaint there was no sigh of any other defect.

??[worn away by the fold crease in the paper] to the questions on the form the second question was not fully answered, and I would be obliged if you would forward me the following particulars ----- Occupation (or former occupation) of deceased's father Deceased's Mother's Christian names, Surname and Mainen Surname
