I identify this the body of the deceased as that of my husband, Lincoln James Todman, aged 31 years. On 11/6/6/1938 He and I attended a dance at Ludemann's Barn at Brucknell. At about 10.30pm the deceased was dancing when he suddenly collapsed and died before medical aid could be obtained. Dr Weir arrived about 1.30pm, but the deceased was dead for some time before that. About midday on that day the deceased complained about a pain in his chest and state that had the pain two or three times that day. The pain seemed to leave him, and before leaving for the dance he state that the pain was much better. The deceased has never attended by a Doctor for any complaint. Document 4 This Despondent Stewart Irvine ?? on his oath saith I am a legally qualified medical Practitioner residing at Terang Victoria. At about 10.45 pm on Saturday June 1th 1938 I was called to Ludeman's Barn at Brucknell. Upon arrival I saw on the floor of his barn the body of a man whom I was subsequently informed was Lincoln Todman of Teak Street Caulfield. A man who gave his name as Norman Crump of Brucknell state that deceased had been dancing when, at about 10.30 pm he had collapsed. Life was extinct when I first saw deceased and after arranging with Crump to take the body to Crump's home I communicated with the Cobden and Terang police. Acting under instructions I performed a Post-Mortem examination on the deceased on June 12th The body was that of a well and nourished man of about 30-32 years of age. There were no external marks of violence and no sigh of disease or injury in any organ except the heart. The heart showed well marked atheroma of teh coronary arteries, and to a lesser extent of the ascending aorta, and a large recent infarct of the left ventricle. in my opinion death was due to occlusion of the coronary arteries and the Posr Mortem findings were consistent with the circumstances surrounding his death, as described to me Taken and sworn before me the 15th day of June 1938 at Terang E.J.Kelly Deputy Coroner Signed S.J.
