Marion "Jim" Laughlin

Marion (Jim) Laughlin, 93, of Belton, MO, passed away August 25, 2009 at the Beautiful Savior Home. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. The family suggest no flowers. Jim was born March 28, 1916, to Jesse Ward and Cora Belle Felthenberger Laughlin in Joplin, MO. He grew up in Stanley, graduating in 1934 from Stanley High School. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Judith W. Spoor; brother, Herbert W. Laughlin; and sister Irene Richardson. Survived by his wife of 71 years, Julia M. Laughlin; son, Jerry W. Laughlin and wife Mattie; sister, Bonnie Worley; son-in-law George E. Spoor; two granddaughters, Keelie C. Shrader and Keara E. Spoor; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements: McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton, MO.
