Quinn
Duranda Quinn (1788-1851) m 17/3/1807 Madison Co. Ky. James Morton (1787-1846)
Nancy Quinn (1784-1847) m 27/4/1804 John Morton (1784-1829(30))
Parents of Duranda and Nancy Quinn:
John Quinn & Frances Watts (Franky) -- John Quinn died in Virginia. Franky (Watts) Quinn migrated to Kentucky, probably with her children. Franky is found on census 1810 in Madison Co. Ky. #219. She is not on 1820.
Benjamine Quinn, brother of John Quinn, is found on the 1820 census is Scott County #132. He was not on 1810. He married Franky Vernon.
These two families lived in close proximity in Virginia and Kentucky and used many of the same given names for children.
We are not sure what counties in Virginia our Quinn ancestors lived and migrated from. One source says Franky Quinn came from Madison Co., Va. after her husband died.
On the reconstructed census - Taxpayer Lists, both Morton & Quinn were in several counties - Prince Edward, Charlotte, Halifax are places we have made a start to search for these ancestors.
