We next find Michael Feltenberger in Jefferson County Ohio.
1810 Jacob Feltenberger married Mary Magdalene Heisler and on later census stated that he was born in Franklin Co. Pa. His brother, Samuel, living nearby was also born 1787 in Franklin Co. Pa. Sister Mary married 1815 Jefferson Co. Ohio was born 1791 in Pa.
1819 a Bible salesman in Ohio, advanced orders for a Bible printed in German. (One incentive to the purchase was to have your name published on the forepages of the book.) The names were divided into counties, and in Jefferson Co. Ohio was the name of Michael Feltenberger. No Feltenberger Bible has been found.
In 1819 Michael would have been about 66 years old, and Elizabeth 64. Not very old in our time 1990 - but in Pioneer times, quite aged. No further record has been uncovered about our Great, Great, Great, Grandparents.
Jacob Feltenberger and his brothers and sisters are found in Jefferson (later Harrison) County Ohio on 1820-30-40-50 census, marriage, birth, and cemetery records, allowing us to piece together the family of Michael & Elizabeth Feltenberger.

Jacob Feltenberger migrated to Ohio with his parents when a young man. They were farmers as most early Pioneers were. Among the settlers of Jefferson Co. were other Pennsylvania families - Heisler, Beck, Wagner, and Stonebrook.
Mary M. Heisler came with her parents, Henry Heisler had bought the entire section 9, Township 11, range 4 in Jefferson Co. (later Harrison Co. Greene Twp.) He later divided his property between his children before he died in 1834. These families lived in close proximity in Ohio counties of Harrison, Gallia, Carroll, and others and migrated farther west together.
On 23 Aug 1825 Mary M. (Heisler) Feltenberger paid her father $1000.00 for 85 acres of his land. Her brothers & sisters shared in his estate. They were: Elizabeth, Susannah, Henry, Mariah, Frederick, Christina, John, Catherine, Sarah.
Jacob and Mary Feltenberger lived on this farm and they are listed in the same place on census thru 1850, Harrison Co. (formerly Jefferson) Greene Twp. (later changed to German Twp.) near the present town for Anapolis, Ohio.
Mary (Heisler) Feltenberger died 22 May 1853 and is buried in the Heisler (Hill) Cemetery near Anapolis on the old Heisler farm. It is not known when or where Jacob Feltenberger died. Some old records in Jackson Co. Missouri shows a J. Feltenberger on a petition for a new road but no date is mentioned. Jacob's son, Henry, migrated to that area before 1860. It's possible Jacob was with his family.
