Isaac Trimble, son of David the Immigrant from Armagh, Ireland, was born in Virginia on the Middle River Plantation that his father purchased from the Bordon Grant of 1736. He was a Volunteer in the Revolutionary War, a private in Captain Kirk's Company of Augusta County, Virginia. He is listed on page 781 of "Virginia in the Revolution" by John H Gwathmey. Also in Records of Kentucky State Historical Society as a Revolutionary War Soldier living in Bourbon County.

There are two listing in Daughters of the American Revolution. #343606-339 1944 Mrs. Hazel Allen Sproul and #407811 1952 Janet K. Brothers Wolfe. Both are descendents of Isaac Trimble.

Isaac was a landowner in Virginia. He married "Polly" Graham in Rockbridge County, her home area, which borders Augusta County on the south. They may have been neighbors. Soon after marriage they migrated to Kentucky to join relatives and friends who had migrated in the early 1780s.

Isaac Trimble is on the Taxpayer Lists as early as 1791. The family of ten children were born in Bourbon Co. Ky. On the first census taken in 1790 Isaac is listed as Tax Payer and on the 1810 census of Bourbon County, Kentucky, Isaac's age is given "over 45", his wife "over 45" they had 4 sons and 6 daughters.

Isaac died in Dec. 1814. Sale & Inventory of Properties of Isaac Trimble are in Book E - Estate Papers Book A - Guardianship Book B - and Order Books E-R-G-K. Mary was left with several small children and was appointed guardian.

When Mary died in 1821 Guardianship of the three youngest boys was passed to son, David Trimble, with Fergus Trimble as Security. In 1829 David Trimble paid John G. Trimble (brother) his share of the father's estate, but continued to be Guardian of brothers Isaac P. and Arthur Trimble.
