Marriage Bond 28 December 1820 between John Laughlin and David Trimble

Know all men by these presents, that we John Laughlin and David Trimble are firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky; in the just and full sum of fifty pounds, current money, to the payment of which, well and truly to be made, to the said Commonwealth, we and each of us bind ourselves, and every one of our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 28th day of Dec one thousand eight hundred and twenty.

The conditions of the above obligation are such, that whereas a MARRIAGE is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound John Laughlin and Tabitha Trimble of Bourbon County. Now, if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force,
