Bunts Homestead in Wythe County, VA

The Bunts Homestead is on Walton Furnace Road, Wythe County, VA. The original house (which is a log cabin) was originally owned by Andrew and Betsy Kincanon. A wooden addition was built around the log cabin. There are two floors with rooms and an additional loft attic that stretches the length of the house with a real narrow staircase.

It was purchased by Rosena Bunts in 1849.

In this more modern shot, you can see that the porch(which used to stretch across the whole front of the house) is gone. The house is now uninhabited, and in pretty bad shape. Here's a gallery of pictures from a trip there in June of 2009:
