This is the Henry J. Winfrey. I have a death certificate for this Henry. According to this death certificate and a living relative. Henry's father was William A. Winfrey. His Mother was Nancy D. Patterson. According to Madison Cty., Ga. website this is how they have the family. George Washington Winfrey born 1835 was married to Missouri Johnson. The names of their children were Thomas J. Winfrey born about 1869, William A. Winfrey born 1857, Georgia Winfrey born about 1864, and there maybe a couple more. Thomas' daughter is still alive and has confirmed that George W. was her grandfather. In the 1880 census it appears as though the whole family may have lived together. This I believe is why people have George as a Father to the children you mentioned. According to a son of Henry Jackson Winfrey, the grandchildren were very close to George and William. William A. Winfrey and Nancy D. Patterson were the parents of William G. Winfrey, Henry J. Winfrey and maybe Charles and Eliza. Those are 2 names I can not prove, yet. Children of Henry Jackson Winfrey and Bertie Watley were Louis Winfrey, Herbert Clifford Winfrey (my Grandfather), Horace Luther Winfrey(Larry), Byron Edward Winfrey and Orville Winfrey.
