ABBR Obituary: Schaefer, Richard A. (1934 - 2006)TEXT *Richard A. Schaefer Sr., 72, of Medina, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Medina General Hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1934, in Cleveland and was a long-distance mover for Andrews Moving and Storage for over 50 years. He enjoyed joking around with his friends and family, and eating chocolate. He was a veteran of the Army from 1957 to 1959.

Mr. Schaefer was the beloved husband of Noreen (nee Pfeifer), to whom he was married 48 years; loving father of Beverly (Griffin) Kirk of Medina, Richard A. (Linda) Schaefer Jr. of Richfield, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Schaefer of Medina, Gregory (Sue) Schaefer of Lafayette and Shelly (Bryan) Barrington of Westfield Center; dear grandfather of Melissa Reinke, Michael, Nicole, Nathan, Kaitlyn and Luke Schaefer, and Nicholas and Brandi Barrington; and devoted brother of Jack, Tommy, Danny, Marilyn and Karen.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna (nee Gibhard) Schaefer; father, Edward Schaefer; brothers, Donald, Norman and Kenny; and sisters, Shirley Carpenter and Beverly Schaefer.
