Danville-Gloria "Aunt Sis" Merle Fauver, 73, of Danville went to join her husband, Merle, at 11:27 pm on Tuesday December 30, 2003 in Provena USMC Logan Campus in Danville. She was born on April 24, 1930 the daughter of Frank Grover and Martha Etta Davis Henry in Danville. She married Merle Fauver on January 7, 1959 and after 32 years of marriage he passed away on May 23, 1995. Survivors include two sons:William (Diana) Fauver of Covington, IN, and Danny (Lana) Fauver of Westville, one step-son: Robert Fauver of Danville, one daughter: Christy (Robert) Cox of Westville, one sister: Ona Noth of Melburne, FL, two sisters-in-law: Vivian Maxine Bush of Covington, IN and Mildred Standwich of Danville, eleven grandchildren: Amber Shafer, and Mike Fauver both of Danville, Amy Allison of Mattoon, Heather McAuliffe of Phoenix, AZ, Arron, Corey and Quinton Fauver all of Westville and Kristin,Cody, April and Cameron Fauver all of Covington, IN, two greatgrandchildren: Myles Shafer of Danville and Christopher Higgins of Phoenix, AZ, as well as a very dear friend Mecky Sanders of Tilton. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Merle one daughter 'Squeakie" Snyder, six brothers and three sisters. Gloria worked at General Electric, which became Valmont in Danville and retired in 1992. She was a member of the Vermilion Fishing Club for over 20 years, and the American Legion Post 210 Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, camping, her sweets, especially her chocolate, cookies and donuts. She had several pets that she adored like her Pomeranian; "Molly", her German Shepard; "Lady" as well as her talking parrot; "Cuddles" and her Siamese fighting fish. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday January 5, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Scott Harper officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 4, 2004 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
