On this day the twenty third of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven;
Before us, the undersigned Public Notaries duly admitted and sworn in and for that part of the Province of Canada, heretofore constituting the Province of Lower Canada, residing in the district of Montreal;
Personally came and appeared George Robinson Rollins of the Township of Stanbridge Quebec, moulder and machinist, who doth hereby nominate, constitute and appoint the person of Charles A. Rice of the same place, machinist, as his true and lawful attorney for him in his name and on his behalf to receive and collect all rents, money, dues or demands to him belonging or in any wise appertaining, and for him in his name to do, execute and perform all and business or transactions, wherein he is or may be concerning of whatever kind or nature it may, and upon payment of any rents, goods, dues or demands to and in his name to grant proper receipts and discharges for the same as fully and effectually and effectually as he the said constituant might or could if personally present and upon refusal or nonpayment of any series of money, rents, dues or demands, or any other rights that to him the said constituant might that upon such refusal or neglect, to institute such proceedings by law as to the said attorney may appear expedient and necessary in the premises, to the said constituant ratifying and conforming all and every thing by his said attorney to be done in the premises, and for the further the said constituant doth hereby further give his said attorney full power in his lieu place other attorney or attorneys to constituted for the transacting of the matters and things aforesaid again at his pleasure to revoke and other again to substitute, the whole as may appear most expedient by his said attorney in the premises he the said constituent promising and agreeing to ratify the same.
Done and passed at the said Township of Stanbridge on on the the day, month and year first before written under the number five hundred and ninety three and signed by the said constituant and us said Notaries in testimony of the premises.
